3D Environment W.I.P. 06 by steve-burg 3D Environment W.I.P. 06 by steve-burg
This is a detail of a large 3D environment. It is one of many test renders done to evaluate the progress.

This view shows some of the props and "trash" pieces that will add texture to the overall scene.

The amount of detail in a 3D scene like this makes it a challenge to manage system memory resources when it comes time to rendering - especially since nearly every surface is ray-tracing reflections :D

The Vehicle is a place-holder; it was actually done for another project a number of years ago, and it will eventually be replaced by a new design :)

you welcome, I just like your work. You put in alot of effort in your creations and I like that....The atmosphere you are creating appeals to me and others. Im saying this because IM working on a dreadnought in a cargo bay, and I was inspired by your WIP:s.

Im constructing it and I want to bring in the atmosphere of heavy steel and a industrial cargobay, which will be thwe central point together with the dreadnought. There will be alot of modeling (good for my training) and texturing but also composition, light, colors and so on....Its for a friend.

This looks great.

My problem is generating details for a scene.
Am still working on it.

Well, it's a long road! :D I'm still working on that too!
I find usually if I make about 5-6 "scatter" objects and populate them around to maximize what the camera can see, it starts looking kind of okay! :)
