This seemed like a suitable theme to indulge in my long standing fascination with colossal scale and epic futurism.
The time is indeterminate, but let’s says it’s at least 1000 years from now. Here we see the city at its zenith, home to tens of millions. The whole thing is contained within a single immense dome 70 km in diameter. If necessary the dome can be sealed to protect it against threats from the outer world.
This is the first in a series of images that were originally created for the book “Concept Design II”, about 6 years ago now…
The entire scene was created in Lightwave 3D, with textures painted in Photoshop. The 3D render was modified in Photoshop to produce the final image.
The other images in this sequence will follow in short order
Very Well Done!!
One of the most impressive arcolgy artworks I've ever seen.
wish I could live in it
I've had some imaginations alike that when I woke up I did not want to return, are things that I do not know how to explain, but able to demonstrate in Art. But I do not have any tool to be able to express these views I have.
I really wanted to be able to draw so that neither you, Congratulations.
NOTE: (Google Translate) I'm from Brazil and unfortunately I can not speak English.
I am putting together a thread for the website with an emphasis on the fact that if millions of people around the world have such vivid imagination, dreams and vision of the future, then surely looking beyond all the end of the world prophesy almost proves in a way that the future is still to come in one form or another.
I am asking you for your permission to feature your artwork along with around twenty other artists, on the site, in the thread, with strict instructions not to copy it, and with full recognition to you, so that people can appreciate the dreams and visions of others and perhaps look beyond the panic of the demise of the human race, with all the Armageddon discussion and be prepared to fight for a better way of life for all.
There is no financial gain or any other benefit for me or anyone else by doing this, it is simply to get exposure for your artistic vision, and help others take a look outside the box.
I won't feature your work without permission and I will link you to the thread if it is given.
Kind regards, Ed
I am kind of speechless oO
More on-topic; this has got to be one of my favourite images I've seen from you, and you more than succeeded in portraying epicness. It's an overused word, but perfectly appropriate in this instance.
Epic might be an overused word - but I sure do like things on an epic scale
it really looks like the city or wathever it is is alive and what a great sunset
