A concept painting done for the cancelled "Tiberium" game...
This was the final approved concept for the player character. The helmet and weapon are actually 3D elements, but the rest is entirely Photoshop painting.
The design was completed in July 2007. From there, modeling the character both for in-game and for promotional uses (at much higher detail) commenced...
I'm not really a character designer per-se - but I've designed a lot of suits, so that was my focus for this character.
You should suggest it to be a CGI animation movie, you can't just let designs sit on your hard drive and get fragmented (or collect dust, which ever term you prefer) You have to give it a fall back plan, otherwise the art of your cancelled projects will never get used! Wouldn't you want to give all of your artwork meaning? (kind of reminds me why I stopped doing CGI artwork, because of too many cancelled projects.)
