Simple, but evocative. Great sense of distance.

wow, it may be a relatively old piece of yours, but I really like it a lot...such a dynamism and simplicity...I defintively love the contrast of the colours and values there...and these birds make for fantastic little specks of life...it's interesting, how even the texture and direction of the brushstrokes adds to that dynamic feeling of the painting. You can almost feel the clouds moving...ah, I needed that...that's some additional motivation to get out the watercolours again this weekend :D

Great work!

this is my favorite of yours, I enjoy looking at the loose gritty detail, its more interesting and to look at than something thats too rendered and real. Its believable, and I think thats what sets it apart, it shows your unique touch, even more so. very dark and gritty, you handled the figure, and the lighting very well, nice one.

The colors in this are what get me; I really enjoy the balance and back-and-forth play from the blue-green and faint orange.

Feels like a book cover, the lone hero (villain?) walks on thru the flats searching for his destiny as the storm rages in the distance...or something like that :D

Your sky reminds me of some classic paintings on Dante's Inferno.

I can't remember what caused me to paint this - but I've always liked those classical "end of the world" paintings [link]

It wouldn't be out of place on a Heinlein book jacket

Nice mood piece. The dark, limited color feel reminds me a bit of something from "The Road" (though maybe not QUITE as pointlessly depressing...).

I think this may be just a big thunderstorm - not the end of the world :D

I must say, I liked "The Road" - although it certainly was a depressing tale. The movie was very faithful to the book as well...
