Digital Art / 3-Dimensional Art / Scenes / Futuristic & Sci-Fi

This is a 3D scene that I then painted into to add a lot of the fine details (like the dust plumes and distant ships). The 3D was modeled and rendered using Lightwave 3D.

The textures were painted in Photoshop.

I've taken to naming my "exo-planets" after people I know, and this is named for a longtime friend and colleague.

This "thing" here feels a bit copy&pasted... maybe some variety would help... I don't know, maybe different antennas or something...

I was about to complain about how the environment looks too dull, bland, and angular. But as soon as I saw that this was a painted 3D render, I almost shat myself. Nice stuff!
