Japanese Style Castle by steve-burg Japanese Style Castle by steve-burg
I don't claim any sort of historical or architectural accuracy for this image. It's purely fantasy, done for enjoyment.

The image was created in Photoshop, and it was pretty straightforward simple painting.

i think i just fell in love with this image . there is a house in my dreams (been there maybe 7 or 8 times) that looks so very much like this . the interesting thing is that this house represents my self .. and there are tunnels below it into the mountains ...

That's pretty interesting - this painting was inspired by a dream. I don't usually remember dreams, but sometimes they're very vivid. This was a fun painting to do, different from a lot of my work but in a way closer to a world I'd like to really experience - if that makes sense :)

totally makes sense . it's noticeably different from the other works i've seen of yours so far . maybe you were watching one of my dreams through the universal consciousness . there are always other people in that place , ever since the 4th time i went there

It's entirely possible. We don't really understand what consciousness actually is - so who can say what happens or where we travel to when we're dreaming? It's a mystery :)

I'm in kind of a dry spell - my sound card seems to have died recently :( But I listen to a lot of soundtracks of various kinds. What about you?

In the commercial art field, there's a tendency to place people inside various boxes. I don't mind the box I'm usually put in by employers - but it's great to remember that there is a lot more outside :D
