The flyers

This is another image from the book "Concept Design" published by Scott Robertson.

Similar to the image "The Dust Storm", it is representative of what I was producing some years ago, while I was immersed in the effort of learning to use 3D.

The image is a view from inside one of the launch bays of a large airborne carrier. Several other such vessels can be seen below, in the clouds. The long-finned vertical craft is a fighter that is soon to be drop-launched from the bay to take part in some aerial battle.

The figures were made in Poser - and yes, they're not very good at all ! I am not a character modeler by any stretch of the imagination. But I still kind of like the fighter ship design, although maybe I'm just sentimental
